An old farmhouse transformed into comfortable gîtes
Originally from the Jura region, we moved to Les Combes in 2009 in an old Comtoise farmhouse that we have renovated to live in. We were seduced by the peaceful setting, planted in the middle of a natural landscape typical of the Haut-Doubs region. It's this environment, made up of meadows and fir trees, and snow in winter, that we wanted to share with you. But for our guests to enjoy this panorama, we had to be able to accommodate them. That's how we started the Miellerie des Combes gîtes project in 2017. We fitted them out in the old barn, which was completely transformed to create these two gîtes for 8 and 15 people. We've put all our heart into these accommodations, but also a 5-star level of comfort and service to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

In the beginning, there was Anne Émilie's honey house.
After more than 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry, I decided to switch to beekeeping. I'm an agricultural engineer, and beekeeping had long interested me. Thanks to an internship in the Vercors during my studies, after 13 years in the pharmaceutical industry, I decided to take the plunge and set up my own small farming business, La Miellerie des Combes. Working with bees is both demanding and fascinating. It's always a thrill to harvest the honey from the hives before marketing it under the Agriculture Biologique label. I sell my production directly from my store in Les Combes, which allows me to talk to my customers. The creation of two self-catering cottages in the old barn on our farm is a way of continuing the adventure of the honey house by making it part of an agritourism approach. Miellerie des Combes is also sold in a number of shops in the Haut-Doubs region. All our products are also sold online on this website.

For 23 people, rent the two gîtes
The two Miellerie des Combes gîtes are completely independent but under the same roof. The smaller one sleeps 8, while the larger one sleeps 15. You can rent one or the other, or both if your group exceeds 20 people. The space has been laid out in such a way that the two gîtes communicate easily with each other. Whichever you choose, we want you to have a great time with family and friends at the Miellerie des Combes gîtes.
